Updates from CGIAR: Note from the Executive Managing Director, Dr Claudia Sadoff

The first ever Food and Agriculture Pavilion, co-hosted by CGIAR, the FAO and The Rockefeller Foundation, welcomed high-level officials including US Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack and USAID Administrator Samantha Power, who both spoke of the US’ commitment to funding CGIAR; and UAE Minister of Climate and Environment HE Mariam bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Almheiri who spoke about UAE’s commitment to transforming food systems for climate mitigation.  Watch the event here. On Thursday, African Development Bank Group President Dr. Akinwumi Adesina visited the Food Pavilion and met with Claudia Sadoff and other CGIAR colleagues to discuss how the two organizations can work together to increase food security in Africa. See the photos on Twitter
